King’s Ely Development & Alumni Team is pleased to announce the launch of the King’s Ely Business Directory, a new initiative that brings together businesses run by parents, alumni and friends of the school. The directory has been created to strengthen connections across the King’s Ely community and to encourage support for one another beyond the school gates.
The Business Directory provides a trusted space where families can discover local services, engage with businesses connected to the school, and build meaningful professional relationships. It reflects King’s Ely’s long-standing commitment to fostering strong, enduring connections and recognising the value of our school community.
At its core, the directory has been established to support parent and alumni businesses by increasing their visibility within the King’s Ely network. By sharing these enterprises across the wider community, the initiative encourages collaboration and a culture of mutual support that benefits both individuals and the school as a whole.
Looking ahead, the directory is intended to develop into a broader Business Network, offering benefits not only to business owners but also to students. By connecting pupils with a diverse range of professions and industries represented within the King’s Ely community, there is the potential to create opportunities for careers insight, mentoring, work experience and future partnerships that enrich the educational experience and support long-term outcomes.
The launch of the Business Directory forms part of King’s Ely’s wider Development work, which seeks to nurture lifelong relationships with parents and alumni and to celebrate the knowledge, experience and goodwill that exists within the extended King’s Ely family.
The directory is now live and can be explored at: https://friendsof.kingsely.org/business-directory
Parents and Old Eleans who run a business, whether large or small, are warmly invited to contact the Development Office at development@kingsely.org to find out more about being included.
