Old Eleans |
Adele, 18, has recently returned home to the Ely area having spent three weeks at the Autumn MET 'Tour III' event, which is held at Oliva Nova Equestrian Center in Valencia, Spain. It is one of Europe's most exclusive equestrian centres, and competitors from all over the world attend, including Olympic riders.
Adele, who attended our sister school, @fairsteadhouse in Newmarket, before joining King's Ely Prep in Year 7, took two of her horses on the tour, Kikke and Prince. Adele achieved multiple placings and stepped up to her biggest ever height, before finishing the tour with a win on Kikke in the competition's '130 Grand Prix' event.
Adele said: "This was my first three-week international tour and I could not have dreamt for a better ending. I was placed consistently throughout the tour on both Kikke and Prince, but there was honestly no better feeling than winning the Grand Prix event on Kikke!"
Adele left King's Ely Sixth Form this summer and she is currently enjoying a gap year, before joining @royalvetcollege in London to study Veterinary Science!
