Old Eleans |
Sisters, Alice and Eleanor Wallace, PiaoPiao Li, Elliot Dickson, and Lily McCallum returned to the Old Palace to inspire students at our 'An Other Club Oxbridge Conference'.
The diligent quintet - pictured here with Head of History at King's Ely Senior, Mr Colin Currie - are all studying History or a History-related subject at Oxbridge. 'An Other Club' is a shining example of our thriving co-curricular and enrichment programme. The fortnightly discussion group sees A-Level History students meeting to chew over articles, sources, and chapters from History books.
Mr Currie organised the 'An Other Club Oxbridge Conference' and invited Alice, Eleanor, Elliot, PiaoPiao, and Lily to attend so that they could speak to interested GCSE and A-Level History students about their experiences so far!
Mr Currie said: "I am so grateful to these alumni for giving up their time to come in and speak at our Oxbridge Conference. It was fascinating to hear about their different experiences at University. As well as working extremely hard, it was encouraging to know that they are still finding some time for their social lives and hobbies (old and new). It was also invaluable to hear their tips for the Oxbridge application and interview process, particularly for the five current 'An Other Club' members who were preparing for their very own Oxbridge interviews last term."
